furniture

Being in the whole "Moving Mode" from helping T&A, we got busy yesterday packing up more of the apartment. I have to say that we are super organized! We have made the dinning room our "box room". It is already full! It is amazing how much stuff you accumulate and have tucked away in corners.
We went shopping for furniture yesterday, too. We had plans to get a Media Stand, 2 end tables (pics below), a King size mattress, and a rug. We left with the mattress, bedding, and a rug. The media stand and end tables were not in stock, so we will have to wait till next week. This works out better for us anyways!
We are such a blessed couple! I thank God everyday for the life he has given me and the ability to have a home and furniture at such a young age! I can't help but think of ways that I can give back.
Here is a picture of the rug we got (I couldn't find a picture of the bedding online):

movin' on up!

Tim and Allyson finally moved into their new house. Friday afternoon I went over to help her paint the master, along with cleaning up every nook and cranny (spelling?)! I didnt know Allyson was such a drill seargant! hehe I love it though! Both of these activities are my avenues for relaxing and stress relief. Anyone need some help around the house??
Their house is beautiful. 4 bedroom, 3 bath with a screened in porch and a view of a lake. The porch is the envy of all of their friends! I can't wait for every thing to get settled and they can just relax in their new home! Not to mention Dora and Shelby love their new place. They love the sunny corner on the porch and the kitchen windows where they can sit on their bed and bark at the cat next door. (did I mention I love those dogs?!)

SOLD

So I just called to check to see if the puppy was still available. If she was still there, then I would have bought her, but if she was sold, then it was a sign that it wasn't meant to be... Sure enough, she got sold last night. BUMMER! I am just not going to look any more until we know for sure that we are ready to buy. I cant get my heart broke again!

Where are you Christmas???

So we decided to wait until Christmas to get a puppy. I may not be able to get the sweetheart below, but I know there will be others out there. I can't wait!

Puppies!

Isn't she cute! Wish me luck!
Allyson and I got a little distracted today. She came over to let the new owners of their house do a last walk through before the close. She brought her little girls, Shelby and Dora. I was laying on the sofa playing with them when we decided to look for puppies for sale in Baton Rouge. Bad Idea!
We found some only 8 miles away! We couldn't resist! We went out to see them and fell in love immediately! Now, I just have to work on winning Jeff over!

I hate dieting

So I have realized that I have become a lot more "squishy" than I really prefer to be. I used to be able to eat whatever I wanted and work out and I would be fine. Now, it seems that is not going to cut it any more. My family has always been pretty big advocates of the low-carb diet, so I thought I would give it a shot. I have been very good for the past 4 days. I think the only thing I miss, right now, is sushi! Why does rice have to be so bad on this diet?! ugh!

My Sister's Keeper

My whole life I have never been much of a reader. It was never a hobby that I could find exhilarating; in fact, I never even considered it a "hobby" before. I don't know if it is because I didn't have the patience, or a ball of energy that could not sit for more than a few minutes, or because I was a slow reader, or because every book I read was an assignment for school (which typically implied that they were long and boring and a subject that bored me to death!), or if i had not discovered an author that could write such wonderfully intriguing, yet controversial issues that keep you on edge from the very beginning. Jodie Picoult is just this author that I have been searching for. I have read 3 of her books in the past 2 months (a personal record) and can not wait to get the next one!
My Sister's Keeper is just one of those books that must be read. It grabs you from the start and, despite the fact that I have finished it, still hasn't let go.
I finished it this afternoon. I was laying on the sofa reading the last few pages when Jeff came home from work. I was a mess; I couldn't get myself to stop crying! I have never been so emotionally attached to a fictional character! Needless to say, it really hits home and makes you think.
I love this new hobby of mine. I will let you know what I plan to read next. Hopefully one by Jodi Picoult!

music playlist

HELP! Does anybody know how to add a playlist to my profile?? (I know some of you do because you have one!) hehe.
I have a playlist with Project Playlist on www.playlist.com, I am just not sure how to embed it.

Beverly Hills Chihuahua

Ok so I am a little quarky sometimes and like some really goofy movies, but if you understood my obsession with chihuahuas, you would be just as excited about this as me!

(I haven't figured out how to embed a video yet, so copy and paste this link)

furniture

here is the furniture we want to get for the house... These pieces are from Potterybarn so we will probably have to do a few at a time, but eventually we hope to get it all.

Moving..

I finally started packing yesterday. We don't move until the end of October, but I will be gone every weekend before we move, so I thought I better get a jump on everything.
It is weird how fast time goes by. We moved into this apartment in July of '07, which seems like yesterday. I am not particularly attached to this place; I can't wait to get into our house, but it is just crazy how fast our first year of marriage went by. I guess you could technically call this our "first place" (even though I will call our house by that name) so it is a little sentimental. Knowing me, I might cry when we leave.
The house is coming along, and it feels like it will never get done! There are just a few things left before we do the inspection and appraisal. 32 days to go!!

Leah and Timmy Spencer

Leah and Timmy finally got married! We all knew it would happen, it was just a matter of time. Leah was one of the most beautiful brides I have ever seen! She, literally, looked like a vogue model. I think she has another calling in life! Leah and Timmy are one of the most genuine, loving, real, and blessed couples I know. I wish them the best of luck as they enter this life together. I know they will be truly blessed and God has a lot planned for their lives! I love you guys!
Thank you Allyson for giving me these cool layouts! now I might keep up with this more since I can make my blog pretty! :)
